I was born on july 6th 1944 in a small town called Örnsköldsvik up in the north part of Sweden. My brother, who is 6 years
younger than me, is also born there. Many famous professional icehockeyplayers in NHL are also born in that city, but that's
My parents had a cafe and later a present/giftshop in a small village on the countryside called Bredbyn. I went to my
junior school and junior high school there. We moved to Sollefteå in 1958 and part of my upbringing took place there. Sollefteå
is a very nice city situated at Ångermanälven, one of the big rivers in Norrland.
I started out as a cookapprentice in the swedish merchant marine in 1961. Continued as a 2:cook and later 1:st cook. Went
to cookschool in Härnösand. I was drafted to the swedish navy and became a cook on an icebreaker called "Odin".
After the navy I went to businesschool for a year and after that I began at the chiefstewardschool in Gothenburg. I graduated
five months later. Went to sea again, this time as a chiefsteward. Saw the world and went a shore for good in 1969.
After that I worked as a restaurantmanager for a company called EPA/NK Turitz for ten years. I started as an assistant
restaurantmanager in Falun. And continued as a manager in Köping, Täby, and finally Eskilstuna. In 1979 I started my hotelmanager
carrieer in Söderhamn at former Esso Motor Hotel, called Scandic Hotel nowadays. I started as chef/assistent manager. Went
to Esso Motor Hotelschool
and became manager at Esso Motor Hotel in Eskilstuna. After that I was manager at Scandic Hotel in Flen for 6 years.
In 1988 I went to Stockholm and Västerhaninge, moved in with my fiancee Ann-Britt and took up my job as a restaurantmanager
again. This time at OBS! Supermarket in Handen, Haninge. The largest supermarket in Sweden at the time. I worked there for
12 years. In may 2001 I made an agreement with my company to quit and became employed at Coop development Center until october
2002. In 2003 I was employed at Securitas Direct and Securitas Aroundio, selling burgleralarm and safety for companies, shops
and small home owners.
I did well at Securitas watch school and I started my new job at Securitas Watch Division at the end of June. Got a patrolcar
and drove around at nights to check up on objects. It's interesting but hard to work at nights.
Since 2009 I am retired and enjoy life as a veteran. My fiancee Ann-Britt passed away in february
"QUALITY is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort,
intelligent direction and skillfull execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives"
I passed all the tests for my ECDL (european computer drivers license). I am very
glad 'cause I've been studying data a long time to get it.
